Chief executive at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation TrustJackie became Chief Executive at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust in August 2012.
Jackie has previously held a number of Chief Executive positions in Acute Hospital Trusts, Mental Health & Social Care providers and in a tertiary Orthopaedic Trust. She has spent a lifetime working in the NHS, having started her NHS career as a Nurse.
Jackie has led a number of organisation change programmes, including mergers and acquisitions and major service reconfiguration.
She is passionate about patient safety and quality and about harnessing the skills and motivation of staff to really make a difference to care and patient experience.
Jackie became a Dame in the 2017 New Years Honours list.

For the last couple of years, together with Bay health and social care partners, I have been focused on the design and shape of new clinical pathways, as well as changing how we work across Morecambe Bay. As a result, it is now beginning to finally impact on how I lead on a day to day basis.
